Seeking Safety Skills Group for Womxn

About the Event
Learn practical tools and skills that will help to address issues related to addiciton and trauma. Helpful for anyone who struggles with isolation, fear, post-traumatic stress responses, and other issues related to trauma histories. Will also assist those to find other coping strategies (other than alcohol and other drug use) to assist with healing from past trauma.
Group meets twice a month, with skills practice the "off" weeks. I encourage you to attend every session, although you can join at any time or stay for only the sessions you'd like. Here's the first month's schedule:
Week 1: Introduction to Seeking Safety
Week 2: Process Week (Skills Practice Related to the Topic)
Week 3: Safety
Week 4: Process Week (Skills Practice Related to the Topic)
Each week, you will receive handouts via email for each meeting and in order to practice skills the following week. Skills practice may include journaling, review of topic area, and/or additional resources in the private Bright Skills Facebook group.
